The article talks about a coat I made at CPIT fashion school. This is where my passion for coats and winter wear all started from. I had many people asking me if they could buy it and I just couldn’t part with this labour of love (plus I still enjoy wearing it 9 years later!!) and unfortunately couldn’t buy anymore of the unique fabric so I couldn’t make any coats to sell at that time. 5 years later when I finally took the plunge to start my own label a variation of the original coat was at the top of my list of garments to make and sell. I’ve made a few tweaks to the fit and style but the overall look of the coat and shape are the same. And now the Flared Coat is a favourite amongst customers. Below is a photo of the original coat, which started this journey into the fashion industry and my love of winter wear.
